[mv] Minimate Update Problems Please Help!

I'm continuing to have problems using the spreadsheet edit functionality
in minimate. 

Background:
Freebsd 3.6
minimate 4.04
perl 5.005
database type: internal/default database - not SQL based.

The problem is that when I make changes in the products database using
the spreadsheet edit interface the database doesn't seem to update. I'm
checking to see if this is intermittant or constant. 

eg: I just changed a quantity for an SKU. I hit submit and made sure
Auto-Export was checked. When the page reloaded the change was not
reflected. More importantly, I checked the products.txt file and the
change had not been made there either. This is a bit of a problem for my
clients and I'm not sure how to proceed on this. Updates using the Edit
Existing Key function works without a problem.

*ANY* insight into this problem would be appreciated.
