[mv] Minivend losing MySQL connections...

I'm getting a lot of:

Lost connection to MySQL server during query
at /home/minivend/minivend-4.04/lib/Vend/Table/DBI.pm line 445.

in the error logs. The MySQL DB Minivend is connecting to does have a very
small wait_timeout (120 seconds).. It's set to 120 seconds because the
server can really fill up with inactive connections (thanks to PHP) during
extremely heavy load...

What can/should I do here?
