[mv] "No default search file" when using PostgreSQL
****** message to minivend-users from Chris Wenham <cwenham@netmonger.net> ******
I have set up MiniVend on FreeBSD 4.0-RELEASE and successfully
created the Simple catalog to run with the built-in database.
But now that I'd like to hook it up to a PostgreSQL back-end I'm
having trouble. Restarting the minivend server produces the following
error:
Using PostgreSQL for databases, DSN=dbi:Pg:dbname=test_minivend.
Directive ProductFiles returned default setting error: No default search file!
In line 0 of the configuration file '':
Require usertag reconfig
The makecat script is able to successfully run "createdb
test_minivend", I'm even able to open test_minivend from psql.
Both root, my UserID and the "minivend" UserID have superuser access
to Postgres.
DBI and DBD::Pg are both installed and tested.
Perl version 5.005_03 is installed.
I realize that the error comes from minivend not finding a products
database, but minivend is supposed to be creating it. But after
running makecat and restarting minivend there are no tables defined
in test_minivend.
Regards,
Chris Wenham
