You can use the replace function in MS Word or just about any word
processor or text editor to do this, just save the file as the target
format from Excel, then open it in Word, and replace "|" with "^p" (which
is the symbol for a carriage return in the replace function in word - it
will no doubt be different with other programs). There are probably also a
heap of free scan-and-replace text utilities for free download on the net...
