I do not clearly remember which way around it was but I did try to
control the display using an [if] based on this result.  One of
[item-price noformat] and [item-price noformat=1] gave $0.00 and the
other gave 0, if the item was in prodktm.   If the item was in products
then the result would be either $123.00 or 123.   If [item-data prodktm
price] was the reference then it was always $0.00 or 0 regardless of the
table the item was in, but [item-data products price] gave the right
values if the item was in the products file.   This was essentially how
I deduced the price was zero inside quantity.html if the item resided in
the auxilliary products file.
