We're talking with a potential client about something similar.
Seems to me the selection parts are pretty straightforward. She also
wants to be able to provide upload the image, scale the image, "print a proof",
choose the fonts and sizes. And let's not forget "push this image around"
and snake the lettering. ;^>
If you can define a known number of attributes, attributes might work.
We were thinking more along the lines of an arbitrary attribute "hash" and
a "proceedure" for building an item, like what you have in mind: pick
the size, then then color, etc.... Then just pretty print that hash for
the order ticket. Strictly a single construction at a time.
I **do** think it would be very hard with vanilla minivend tags. It's hard
to imagine doing it well without tying in system calls to gd or imagemagick
or some such.
