I agree. I can tell you from own experience that trying to learn from
technical mailing lists or usenet groups for a complete beginner/outsider
can be a suffocating and distracting experience to the point of
paralysis.
Moderated/categorized/ordered/indexed archives of mailing list contributions
is something which might help.
And, BTW, I am the first who will shut up. 8-) And enjoy finding stuff
easier !

Hopefully Akopia and Minivend will find a good moderator and some support
for subject categorization of the material for the archives.
