[mv] need help ASAP

hi,
   guys help......

I am using MV4.04 with linux debain....I made a catalog using ./makecat... 
now I see that the files in Products folder that MV using are *.gdbm ..now I 
am also using Minimate along side MV4.04 and I want to add a field to my 
userdb ..but I keep getting an Internal Error...

is it because of the files are *.gdbm ??? I really help on this one..
if so what can I do to fix this ?
