I also in same situation.
I  have more my test info.

In locale.txt, next line added.
code en_US de_DE fr_FR jp_JP

In index.html, I have line below.
[setlocale jp_JP][L]code[/L]:[loc]code[/loc]

index page show below.
en_US:jp_JP

[L] don't work but [loc] cork well.

This is on Minivend 4.04.
But on Minivend 4.03 , I don't have this kind have problem.

I would like to know how to urgently.
