[mv] unique sku's for color/size/etc.

Hi there,
I believe there was a discussion a short while ago about having an
item-code for "shirt" (for example) with color/size options display a
unique sku in the receipt and in the tracking file depending upon the
specific color/size options selected - using the option drop-downs
rather than an order button for each option combination.  I can't find a
resolution in the archives - can someone steer me to it if there was one?

The goal is to use an order copy as a picking ticket / packing slip, the
the warehouse types need a "one sku/one bin" type situation.
