Hi Eduardo-

I had the same question last weekend...

I was having problems because I was trying to use MySQL syntax in my DB
connect string (Postgres is slightly different)

Connect string should be:
dbi:Pg:dbname=<your database name>

also, I didn't realize at first that you need to set BOTH "SOMESQL" and
"PGSQL" variables to 1 in your catalog.cfg (guess I shouldn't have just done
a "/" for "PGSQL"...hehehe)

Variable settings should be:

Variable     SOMESQL     1
Variable     MYSQL     
Variable     PGSQL       1

Once I made these changes, it worked like a charm.

P.S. - It goes without saying that you must have the Postgres DBD installed
and working for these settings to work. One thing that I found out is that
it is not enough to just install the "postgres-perl-xx.xx-xx.xx.rpm" - that
only installs Postgres's native perl drivers.  To get the DBD for Postgres
(DBD:Pg), you need to go to CPAN.
