They aren't critical. One is asking you to upgrade to the new version of
CPAN which, while it does make installing minivend easier, is not
critical. The other one is for a different way to handle user input in
the setup process. Think of it as a spiffy interface for typing stuff in
at prompts. Its nothing that will effect your client. Personally, I
don't liek the readterm module. It annoys me. Thats just a matter of
taste though.

Well, thats a mighty tall order there. The mailing list archives are a
great place to start, so is the documentation and various pods. What I
would suggest doing is plunging into it and thrash around for a while.
Set up one of the demo sites and look over how its done. I'd start with
the basic site and then move to the more complex 'simple' site. I know
that doesn't sound very directed but its a good way to find out feel out
what specific issues you'll have in creating your own site.
