[mv] Search doesn't find dots
****** message to minivend-users from "Henrique A. Vianna" <snoopy@ufpel.tche.br> ******
Hello everybody!
I use minivend 3.14 and I'm experiencing this problem: searches containing dots (e.g. "Dr. John Williams" or "Williams, John et al.") return no results, even when there are matching fields.
Does anyone know any workarounds for this? So far, the dot seems to be the only character to present the problem - I use foreign extended characters and they work fine in searches. Could it have anything to do with locale settings? I have set the comma as decimal separator... just a thought..
I don't use Glimpse, and I'm using the mv_search_field and mv_searchspec variables (or sf=../se=.. in one-click searches).
Thanks in advance for any help.
Later,
Henrique.
