[mv] Interchange-4.5.3 Admin password mismatch

Login as the store admin w/ password "pass" in Interchange 4.5.3 I got a
"Password Mismatch" error. Any ideas?
OS=FreeBSD 3.4-Stable
Perl 5.6.0 ---> non-threaded perl
DemoType=Simple and Barry
Database=Berkeley DB, tried GDBM (recompiled Perl, reinstalled Ichange
... I still
got a password mismatch error.)
DemoStore-Status=works fine, no problem.
error.log=no hints ---> @ catalog & VendRoot.
tmp/mvdebug=no hints either
What's the issue here? My OS?
