I had the same situation when I installed Interchange the first time.
Ryan is correct, you will need to make sure that the Minivend server is
started after MySQL is running. I created my own start up script and set
it to operate in a runlevel after the complete system was booted. That
solved the problem. Aparently this is not done at installation in these
beta versions. These requirements vary from system to system so you will
need to set yours accordingly. I strongly suggest installing WebMin as
an aid for doing all of these things. It is also great for quickly
checking out and editing the installations of MySQL. Good Luck!
