[mv] [IC] Import Ascii-MySql via UI

****** message to minivend-users from "Rob Zimmerman" <rob@readysite.net> ******

So far so good, am converting a MV3.12/DB_File store to an IC4.5.5/MySql
store. I took my copied version of a 3.12 products.asc file renamed it to
test.txt and ran the Table Import feature from InterChanges admin UI.
Appeared to go fine, only it does not show up as a new table in the
test_simple database. It does show up as a nice "'variable.add" file under the
products directory though. I restarted the catalog.cfg with no errors as well. I
am using WebMin as an html gateway to MySql. Dam,shit...F&^%...----see
next paragraph.......

Well I just discovered something, I did this all wrong but I have learned
something. It jammed everything that had a "like table field" into the
products.sql file as that was highlighted when I imported. Looks like I need to
create the table "test.sql" with the correct fields to match my ascii file THEN
import to that database. DOH......

It also appears that the only way to add a new field to the table "products" is
to to that through mysql and not interchange correct? I am going through an
exersise right now since I screwed up my products.sql by dropping the
products.sql table recreating it with the correct fields and then I will import
the ascii products.txt file and see if the simple site will work.

One problem is WebMin will only create a max of 20 initial fields on a new
table. Will have to look at command line for now I quess.

L8tr..
