Re: [mv] Setting variables inside <a href> or similiar function?
****** message to minivend-users from ". c . o . r . y . t . r . e . s . e" <digital@frognet.net> ******
what about this ...?
<a href="[area form="mv_todo=return
mv_nextpage=yourpage
variable_1=yourvalue
variable_2=yoursecondvalueforfuturereference
"]
">Click here to set your values for future reference</a>
You can encode variable settings within a link (or a [page... construct.) I'm
not sure why I prefer to use [area..., I think it is faster or something.
Anyway, you can find this explaination in the manual under the heading of
"Basic Minivend Tags."
However, using this format, you will NOT be setting scratch variables (what you
speak of below.) You will be setting user-session variables. These can be
called with the [value 'variablename'] tag.
This works just like a form (same as a form button, as you mention earlier.)
