I run with Roxen and those folks have tend to ignore the problem and stated that it must
be a problem with the OS; in my cases, I'm running Linux with 2.0.35 and 2.2.14 kernels
and both appear to have the truncating problem.  Roxen's statement made it sound that
Apache must have coded around the OS flaw, why Roxen didn't or won't is beyond me, but if
this is a true flaw in the OS, perhaps the Apache fix only applies to Linux and not DEC
Unix.
