That looks like it is in the source area -- you didn't really need to
change those.

Okay, HOW do you know that the interchange server is running? ;-)
Try ps -aux | grep interchange
If you only see a result of 'grep interchange' than you need to
start/restart the interchange server. (install directory)/bin/restart
And with the utmost honesty, you should take a serious review of the
documentation.
