[mv] Results page does not show the next matches

Sometimes my search will produce several pages of items, and only the first
page
can be displayed.
e.g., the results page shows the first 10 items with:
       Matches 1-10 of 36 found.
        1 2 3 4 Next
When I click on the 2 the next page shows:
       Sorry, no matches for . 
I can't predict when this will occur. Mostly, it does not occur, but....
I thought it may have to do with too many browser sessions being open, but
I'm not sure.
Any ideas?
