has anyone setup a method of checking minivend with programs like
BigBrother or Server Sentinel?

Most programs like that check to see if the port answers. though if
minivend is down usually a internal server error occures and wouldn't
report the error. I'm looking for some sort of method so that when it's
down i get emailed (which is then relayed to my pager).

Any methods for this?
