Install on Slackware 2.0.0
****** message to minivend-users from Steve <steve@lwww.com> ******
Well we have a jewel we are playing with now :) Slackware 2.0.0 that
was crippled and now I am trying to resurrect. Installed perl 5.00502
and ran the minivend install. Came up with this. Any ideas on a repair?
I do not really care for the cgiwrap method and even when trying it have
not got it to run yet. Below is the end of the message returned during
the MV install. ANy insight would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Steve
Compiling, this may take a sec...vlink.c: In function `return_response':

Compiliation of vlink.c FAILED.

done.
That takes care of the program configuration.
The compilation of one or both link programs (tlink and/or
vlink) failed. You may be able to use the Perl-based tlink.pl
program along with starting the server in INET mode (start_inet)
to make MiniVend work.
Using vlink.pl requires either that your installation use
CGIWRAP or that you compile it with a wrapper such as the Perl
example 'wrapsuid' program.
