Yes it only is a "simple" program. The path you see in your
browsers-location window like
http://gate.lan.itreff.de/cgi-bin/simple/order?s4iCT4Kn;00-342;67
just calls the simple-cgi. Everything after simple/ is parsed by MV to
do the right actions...

The link, which is a regular CGI program, calls the MiniVend server
through a
socket. The MiniVend server sees the path information which is
appended to
the URL calling it, and brings up the corresponding page. The page
contains a
link to find or order items from your catalog.

You have to get the URI::URL-Module for perl on CPAN:
http://www.perl.com/CPAN
I do not now how to install it, because I do not use the
mv_admin-feature...
BTW Mike: I always thought these CPAN-Modules are automatically
installed while installing MV (and if I want to do this of course).
