oh, oh, better think twice, you know how many you would have to read
to get an understanding of ALL MV related background subject
areas ?
You would never finish a catalog this way...
If you listen to serious people, you end up starting to read the
"Bible of Computing" and finishing with "Out of their mind -
Gurus' world". Meanwhile - MV is out in version 6.0 and you
have to start reading all the new books which have come out to cover
the latest groundbreaking techniques (...and yes, there are a lot
of them, the many gurus need to make a many livings...)
Finally, you never read the many things you MUST read over and over
and over, the ...[ahem, I don't use four letter words]... of course, you
just find out that you must read the code.. and then you find out that
you just have to read all the Perl books.., but wait on clpm they tell
you that you never start learning to program with Perl.. so you start
learning to find out with what you start learning to program... and
then you take it seriously and enroll in the cs department of the
nearest fine school to you... where they tell you after a while
"Listen, you are much too old for this stuff, doesn't make sense,
get a life and BTW you have to learn all of it by yourself anyhow,
you don't learn this stuff at school". So you go home, hit the books
and the keyboard...then your mother asks you what's wrong with you...
your sister tells you that you are the most unsocial person around
always talking to your computer... living in some world healthy people
would never choose to live in ... and your wife tells you (..hmm, I
don't know, but I do know what husbands tell you and I better don't
tell you that) ... so my sentence ends here.

Run for it and be prepared for a marathon, get addicted to running and
never quit. 8-)

Much more ... like actually doing it... or not doing it at all. 8-)

You must be a darn good salesman to hire the few people who are
worth being hired... 8-)

Never listen to advice, it only tells you what you already
know....8-)
