security with Minimate (.htaccess)
What would be the best way to go about limiting access to Minimate?
I tried a .htaccess file, but it didn't work. I assume this is because the minivend process is grabbing the data from the Minimate directory instead of Apache grabbing the data.
Should I remove Minimate when I'm not using it? There has to be a better way.

I have Apache 1.3.6 compiled with SSL, running on Red Hat 6.0 with latest kernel, Minivend 3.12, and Minimate 3.12.
Apache is in /usr/local/apache
Minivend is in /usr/local/mvend
Minimate is in /usr/local/mvend/lib/Minimate
Minivend and Minimate both run as a user, and all files and directories are owned by that user.
