Adding subcatalog into running server.

Hello,

Does anyone know how to add subcatalog into the running server? I don't
like to restart the server every time when i add subcalog directive into
'minivend.cfg''.

I wonder how do you guys do if you have hundreds of subcatalog, and you
just restart the server whenever you just add one subcatalog? Will that
break any current transaction?

By tracing the script 'bin/makecat', i found that by adding a line
"Catalog simple /home/minivend/catalogs/simple /cgi-bin/simple
/simple" in file "mvend/etc/restart" will allow "simple" catalog to be
added into the running server. This really works, and the server then can
detect all databases without restarting. (if you want to see the code, look
at variable $newcfgline in script 'bin/makecat')

However, my project here will have only one catalog, and many
subcatalogs inside. Here is what i tried.
      1. I put new config file
'/home/minivend/catalogs/simple/sub_of_simple.cfg'
      2. I added line "SubCatalog sub_of_simple simple
/home/minivend/catalogs/simple /cgi-bin/sub_of_simple" into
"minivend.cfg"
      3. I replace the line above in $newcfgline in 'makecat' , and
then i executed that restart part. However, it didn't work. Result
from the log, the 'simple' catalog itself was reconfigured, but the
server still counldn't find 'sub_of_simple' .

I spent a lot of time on this, but still no luck. Any suggestions
will be greatly appreciated.

Pumin
