I'm going to ask a dumb question here: Do you have a merchant account
set up? As far as I know Verisign is not providing Merchant Accounts.

If you don't have a Merchant Account, I suggest that you get that
first, and then determine if Signio will work with that processor.

I've been told that Red Hat has a version of Apache that is configured
as a secure server that is easy to set up. I am running WN and building
the secure version was reasonably easy. (You do know that you need to
run a separate web page server for the secure stuff, don't you?)

You need to get a certificate for the server. I highly recommend Thawte
in South Africa. (www.thawte.com) Although they are owned now by
Verisign, they are still considerably cheaper, and provide good
service. You do have to jump through quite a few hoops to prove to them
that you have a right to use this domain name and this business name.

Once you have selected your secure web page server and you have
selected who you will buy your cert from, usually your cert provider
will give you detailed instructions about how to form the key that you
will need to generate to request the cert.

If you choose to run WN as your secure server, e-mail me off the list
and I'll be happy to work with you to get it running. If you choose
Apache as your secure server, I am sure that there are plenty of people
here on the list that will help you privately with it.
