[ic] Hotmail....BAD

<chuckle> I think you misunderstand my position :)

My company currently owns so many domains that I don't even want to research
and tell you a number. I know it's over 100. Anyways, we host corporate
email for internal company use for our employees (me included) on one server
with 4 different domain names associated with it. Getting an email address
is not the problem... I just don't think it's necessary.

The email addresses on the site I am working on are all corporate addresses.
  No hotmail there. :)

The reason I choose to not subscribe to outside mailing lists with a
corporate address is because I receive (in my opinion) enough email there
already. >500 per day is typical, with spurts up to 800. We currently got
bombed with the SirCam and Nimda virus attacks, which made us revamp our
mail handling(grrr). Subscribing to an email list that has an unknown
number of people subscribed and an unknown SPAM protocol, I find that the
free email services can help out. They do the organizing and filtering for
me. You'll notice that my hotmail username that I chose for all interchange
communication is 'orkolist_interchange'. I have several others, with
'orkolist_' prefixing the names of the actual lists. If I receive SPAM from
subscribing to the list, I know exactly which one it came from. If it gets
too bad, and unsubscribing to the offending list doesn't help, I just close
the account. Simple.

Make sense? ;)

PS. Take that asbestos off, I'm freindly unless really provoked ;)
