I received a similar message from a third-party aggregator I have been
using. They are not waiting to see how things go with this; they are
migrating all accounts to Authorizenet and an affiliated merchant account
issuer by special arrangement. Apparently it is has been tough going for
third-party processors for some time, including recent policy changes by at
least one card issuer which would fine them $150,000 if their charge-back
frequency crossed a certain threshold. Looks like these types of businesses
may be on borrowed time.
