HI Rene,

You're right I did omit to say what database I'm using and that's
because I'm not sure myself :-) I guess it's the default (IC was
auto-installed by my ISP so I didn't have to fiddle with all those
installation hiccups).

My fields are plain text (no pricing or anything) really but after
updating products.txt the system wouldn't take it so maybe I'll need to
fiddle with the mysql as Dan suggested?

as you see, I modified your reply to fit into the quoting rules of this
list...

First, you did not tell us what kind of database you are using
(Postgres,
mysql or the default). I'll explain how to do it with postgres (Mysql
should
be the same procedure)
