[ic] Simple, Multiple Pricing

I have read the list archives (many times), the IC books, the Minivend
documentation, everything. I just cannot seem to grasp the way to format
a common adjust string.

If anyone could help me out with this, I would be eternally grateful.

I am running IC 4.6.5 (time to upgrade). I have a pricing table with
fields for quantity, q2, q3, q5, q10, q25, q50, q100, and also fields for
small, medium, and large. I also have a field for earlybird discount
(timed discount.

Right now, catalog.cfg contains:

PriceField priceCommonAdjust pricing:q2,q3,q5,q10,q25,q50,q100:, ;products:price, pricing:earlybird

I can't figure out how to get it to work like this:

Base price:
 overidden by quantity price
 -early bird discount
+/- size modifier (small would be less than large etc)

I guess I also don't entirely understand how IC calculates the price
internally, using those fields.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,
thanks,
