I don't know if this will work, but you might be having the same problem I
had when my JavaScript images would not show up.  The way I fixed the
problem was:


<img src="/nameofsamplehtmldir/images/imagename.gif">

instead of

<img src="imagename.gif">

which usually works with static images.  Let me know if it works in case I
want to put Flash stuff in an Interchange template or content area.
