Sounds like you may have either a lack of disk space or a write-permissions 
issue here. Interchange writes more-lists and other temporary files into 
catalogs/yourcat/tmp/, and over time this directory can grow quite large. 
You might want to cd into it and do a 'du -sm' to see how much space it is 
occupying. It is not the most elegant approach, but I usually delete the 
contents of this whole directory at regular intervals (usually in the wee 
hours) just to keep disk space usage under control.
