yep, we are using shipping by weight, but thats the only weigh we can do
it,
unfortunately. we're on RedHat 7.3, using Interchange 4.8.3. Is there a
way
i can set a default zip code or something, would hate to have to ask
them
that first..tks much

The way that we handle it for our clients who charge by weight is to
just put some text on the checkout page indicating that the end user
will need to enter their zip code before shipping options can be
displayed. We then just put a JS "onChange" event on that field which
automatically refreshes the page when zip code is entered.

It really depends on how exact you need your shipping prices to be.
Interchange has made a lot of provisions to handle shipping
calculations, but if you must charge by weight and zone tables, then
there is only so much the software can do without any input from the end
user.

When the user is not logged in, no shipping charges apply. Does anyone
have
a patch or a fix for this?
