Good question, Fred! That might be the problem, though I am skeptical. I
used to use a different firewall system that I knew well, but now that
ipchains is no longer configured with Linux for this particular kernel (Linux
2.4-10), I can't tell you what firewall I actually have up. This I will have
to resolve. I wanted to install IC to my RH server, but that is where I
have the Foundation demo running and I didn't want to mix the Demo with the
"live"... so I'm on a SuSE system muddling my way through. One more forced
learning curve (with their new tables-based Firewall).

You can click on the "Catalog is Offline" link at http://hostahaven.com and
see that the secure server is actually up and running...

and then select "Hosta - B". Select the Red hyperlink to Hosta 'Banana
Boat'. Enter a Quantity (you'll like Banana Boat, it's a great Hosta :-) )
, then click on Check Out. That is when I get the 404 error.

Apache 2.0.35, Linux 2.4-10, Perl 5.6.1, someday maybe php 4.2. Since I have
the secure server coming up to an index page, I'm thinking that it is
working, but I am not familiar with how IC makes the transition from an
http:80 server to an http:443 server.

Maybe the problem is that the system can't create the process.html file? I
did a <find> on the server for >process.html< and it does not exist, so it
must be being created on-the-fly.

Of course, I wish there were some documentation that could help me. I have
the Developer's Guide and it's a start, but it assumes I know RH
Interchange-eaze. Is there another Guide that might explain this further?

Thanks in advance for any help you might offer, Fred Pope or other IC
Wizards... I want to make sure the order processing part will work well
before I devote hours and hours to adding inventory items...

Finally, I just now noticed that my access to "Admin" is GONE!--it has
mysteriously "disappeared" ... I'm starting to have *not* so much fun... :-(
