[ic] sessions questions

Where are sessions settings stored? For example, is
there a setting for how long to store sessions and any
related carts?  How about expiration dates on cookies?
 And in the admin there's show last x minutes under
active sessions, where do I change that?  And is there
a recommended way to clean out old data from the
server in places like the tmp and session directories?

Also, where would I look if I wanted to ignore any
session lookup if the visitor is from a certain
address (ie googlebot.com).  So for example if it were
from googlebot, I could save all the lookup info
because I know there really is no session.  And along
the same lines, where does the recording of info into
the usertrack file take place in the software.  I'd
also like to not write any data to that file if it's
also from googlebot?
