[ic] First Timer Problems, yes i have RTFM'ed

Hi All,

I need some clarification on what the best thing to do is.

I have a sun fire v100 that i have just installed freebsd on it, new
technologiy 5.2.1.  perl 5.6.1, apache2???
i have tried to install the ic server latest and keep getting into a loop
asking for username /path, this repeats about three times ends with error
1.

I have looked at some of the posts and found that people are saying they
have trouble with freebsd, if this is the case.
can some one recommend what os i should run on the sun box to get the ic
server to install. is a different flavor of linux better or should i look
at soalris X??
