[ic] SPAM in forum

I'm using the foundation template for this catalog.

I've turned off the display of comments on my product pages because of
spambots, but that doesn't stop the spambots from posting directly to the
comment posting pages...

Is removing pages/forum from my catalog sufficient for stopping the posting
of comments?
