mySQL, minivend...

We have installed a fairly large database and developed perl cgi script to
perform searches and browsing of this data. now when something is seen and
ordered, a link to the minivend script, with the product's code is passed
along...
All i need to accomplish now, is to have minivend pull from and utilize a
new table created in the mysql DB, which contains the description, code,
weight, and price... where is all this defined and how do i have the
product in the mysql DB added to the shopping cart? i was thinking i would
have to add the queries for the desc, price, weight to the basket.html but
that didnt seem right. ideas ??
How does somone debug a minivend mysql connectivity error ? right now I am
just getting: Requested Product Unavailable... as it is not finding the code..
