the minivend user has both create and insert privileges on the minivend
database in mysql. i did a 'grant all privileges on minivend.* to
minivend', and i looked at the data...only grant pivilege is set to 'N'.

i changed nothing on the pages...i only installed the simple catalog, and
twizzled the catalog.cfg for mysql tables in the mvend/catalogs/simple
directory it installed to.
