[mv] CyberCash problems
****** message to minivend-users from "Reuven M. Lerner" <reuven@lerner.co.il> ******
I'm having some problems with getting CyberCash to work on an existing
and stable client site. I have looked through the documentation and
the mailing list archives, but that hasn't offered quite enough help.
We're running MiniVend 3.14-4, and CyberCash 3.2. I have copied the
three CyberCash Perl modules into "lib", because the client's Web
space provider placed them in another directory, and this was easier
than messing with @INC for MiniVend.
The CyberCash tests run just fine, so I know that the problem isn't
there.
When I run MiniVend in minivend_test mode, I get a nice printout to
the error log, describing the query:
212.29.241.229 74FVJSAN:212.29.241.226 - [18/January/2000:10:21:16
-0500] catalog /cgi-bin/catalog/process Test CyberCash
SetServer:
> host=localhost
> port=8000
> secret=##SecretSecretSecret##
212.29.241.229 74FVJSAN:212.29.241.226 - [18/January/2000:10:21:16
-0500] catalog /cgi-bin/catalog/process Test CyberCash
sendmserver:
> type=minivend_test
> Amount=usd 19.95
> Card-Address=14 Migdal Oz
> Card-City=Modi'in
> Card-Country=IL
> Card-Exp=8/00
> Card-Name=Reuven Lerner
> Card-Number=4580XXXXYYYYZZZZ
> Card-State=
> Card-Zip=71700
> Order-ID=20000118152100074
But when I activate CyberCash for real, changing the "minivend_test"
into either "authcapture" or "mauthcapture," I get the "failed
screen. I modified the "failed" page to include the CyberCash error,
and saw the following:
CyberCash error: Location: CCMckDirectLib3_2; Message:
Bad Request Method
My settings in catalog.cfg are as follows:
Variable CYBER_CONFIGFILE /usr/local/apache-ssl/conf/client-1-2-3-stg/conf/merchant_conf
Variable CYBER_VERSION 3.2
Variable CYBER_SECRET ###SecretSecretSecret###
Variable CYBER_PORT 8000
Variable CYBER_HOST localhost
And of course, I turn off CreditCard Auto and activate CyberCash.
I tried this in a bunch of different ways, with a number of different
settings, and nothing helped. I spoke with CyberCash technical
support, which is only marginally better than their Web site -- but
they couldn't offer any advice.
When I checked on the reporting site at CyberCash, it indicated that
none of my live queries had gotten to their servers. So it would seem
that the error is indeed causing a failure, not just causing an error
message to appear.
Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?
And while I'm at it, may I suggest that someone put together a
step-by-step description of what you have to do to get this running?
There is a lot of good advice in the e-mail list archives, but there
isn't a chart indicating what should happen when.
