Mediamob,

Well said!
I like MV, Its kind of a love /hate thing, and hell I spend hours
searching the mail lists before I ever post anything.
And searching the docs is an art.

I would like to suggest a newbie-minivend list.
I will bet that either the new version with mysql stuff built in will
generate a ton of newbie traffic.
Or it will just scare them off.

I have been messing with MV for almost two years. I came with very
little experience.
barely knew how to chmod, now I is a chmod.

My MV powered store runs, looks ok, "I am no artist either" and makes
some $$.

A BIG THANK YOU MIKE.
You want some dvd's, videos or marital aids?

But I believe you are right.
There is the engine and the display properties of MV.
I have the thought of assembling an area to document display properties.

Kind of a easy how-to thing. But right now its just in the " you know
this would be nice if" stage.

Most of the time I can with patience, a little more coffee, a pack of
smokes or two and a few hairs more lost figure out what needs to
happen.
Even if sometimes it is not always exactly what I want.
Working with MV I attribute to being able to tackle a lot of tasks I
would not have been able to do before.
I too had very little money to contribute to a packaged store, and even
after showing some IBM project managers that used a high priced solution
they thought MV to be a great package, better than what they were using.

MV is very display configurable, seems to be powerful handling
traffic, orders etc..and hey right now its working for me.

i look forward to MV4, I think it will be fun, in a sick kind of way.

I would like to ask how many have looked at sites that at one time
someone posted to the list and after banging there head against a wall ,
decided to go with another solution? a few. how many stick it out? a
few.

I would like to get some pointers on how to make a merchant/affiliate
area. That could help me make a lot more sales.
Anyone want to help? or work together on that?

Sorry for the rambling,
Hope you all make big internet $$ with your store.

Chris
