Oh, you're hitting the list just fine.  I thought that the answer was 
"restarting minivend."  However, it is possible that it doesn't occur until 
Minivend is asked for a page.  It is possible that reconfigure would also 
rebuild the gdbm.  You really don't need to ever delete the gdbm files 
unless you've corrupted it somehow.  You mention products.asc.8, that 
sounds like an index built on your 8th field?

I am wondering what could be so urgent about this question? :-)
