That's funny.
Your key-column is probably called "code" and so you can access
that column by [data base=mybase col=code key=whatever] or
[item-data myfile code], just like any other column in the db.
This should work, I'm sure.
AND THE WINNER IS RAMSEY FRENCH!
[item-code] dispays the contents of the key field in an arbitrary database.
The column name in the database does not have to be "code"; I tried it with
several fieldnames for my key column and it works everytime. Apparently
[item-code] is a *universal* reference to the key field of any database
currently being read. I did not gleen this from the docs. NONE of the
other syntaxes work: [item-data myfile code], [item-data code], [item-data
myfile keyfieldname]. I didn't test [data base=mybase col=code
key=whatever] because it does not fit the context of my application.
