I guess I could use [perl] to extract the relevant information from this
string, but it seems to be a pretty round-about hack just to get at
information that should be extractable from mv_searchspec.
(I need to get at these numbers on the search page, because 8 and 4 are the
department and room numbers, and I need to know them to set up headings and
such.)
