[mv] NewReport not honored properly?

Hello all,

I still have problems using perl variables in the report file. I think I 
know the reason now, but I don't know why it is happening.

As described in the docs, the NewReport switch in catalog.cfg 
switches between old-style fieldnames and the new style. It seems 
that minivend uses the old style whatever I decide to use, even if 
NewReport is left as the default or specifically set to Yes.

As soon as theres a word starting with $, I get an error message 
displaying that word as <no input box>. Oh, and using $fieldname 
to show form values from the checkout does still work, even with 
NewReport set to yes.

Any ideas why ? Is it a bug, or is there something wrong in our 
setup? We are running Minivend 3.14-4 with Perl 5.005_03 on 
FreeBSD 3.2 Release.
