[mv] no restart when updating product.asc

Hi there,
if i update the product.asc by simply upload a new one, i must not restart
the server.
i think the product.asc is in memory, so that after the session is closed,
the new one for this customer will be shown..
but what about having an sql server like mysql ? how does it work ?
