[mv] Does MV 4 LIKE mySQL now?

Greetings,

I see from an old posting (and banging my head against the wall) that
incoporating LIKE searches in mySQL were difficult using MV 3.14. The
posting, (from Mike) mentions that MV4 will embrace mySQL with verve (I
paraphrase slightly) but looking through new docs, I don't quite see where
this is described, indeed the SQL searching section is absent. I'm trying to
use a from based search with a name=mv_sql_query value = "select code from
products where column LIKE "value"" contruct. where column contains value,
value1, value2, etc.

Any one have this working? Any help would be much appreciated.
