[mv] problem with paths after copying a store
****** message to minivend-users from Mark Stosberg <mark@summersault.com> ******
Hello,
Since I couldn't get makecat to work (see recent post), A copied over
an old store to create my new store. I must be missing a path some
place, because I now get this sort of error when visiting the new store
on the web:
<snip>
[14/March/2000:11:31:17 -0500] soft-store /cgi-bin/store.cgi/index.html
Runtime error: Missing special page: ../special_pages/missing
</snip>
So it appears it's not findind "index.html" in the expected place, so
it's looking for the missing page, and can't find it easier. However,
because the path is relative, I don't know where it _is_ looking. I
suspected the problem was in one of three places:
1. the minivend.cfg file.
However, I verified that the paths here are correct, and minivend
doesn't complain.
<snip>
Catalog soft-store /home/soft/catalogs/store /cgi-bin/store.cgi
/store
</snip>
2. the tlink or vlink program.
However, from what I could tell from the documentation, the path to
catalog is not important here.
3. I found that some files in the old 'etc' and 'tmp' directories
referenced the old site, so I removed. This did not help any.
What are some other reasons that minivend could be looking in the wrong
place for my minivend pages?
Thanks,
-mark
