That was a transcription error on my part. I'm swapping between X
windows on an win98 box and the copy/paste from an X window to a win98
window is less than stellar. If its just a couple of lines I usually
just retype it. Which is where the 'tabels' error came in. 

I really appreciate the hints that you've provided. Hopefully this will
all be over soon :D
